REFLECTIVE PROJECTThe Reflective Project is an in-depth body of work (essay, play, storyboard, graphic presentation, video, etc.) produced over the duration of the IBCP program and is submitted at the end of your coursework. It is designed to draw together key elements of the IBCP program: Career-related studies (CTE), Community and Service Learning, and the Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) course. You will need to identify an ethical issue/dilemma, stemming from your career-related studies, which you would like to explore in greater depth. .

LANGUAGE B DEVELOPMENTLanguage B development is designed to ensure that all students have access to, and are exposed to, a second language that will assist and further their understanding of the wider world. Students are encouraged to extend or begin a second language that suits their needs, background and context. For the majority of students at Taft, Language B development is designed as a self directed study.
Language B development is fully documented and outlined on student's managebac account and digital portfolio (website).

SERVICE LEARNINGEvery IBCP student must complete the community and service requirement of at least 50 hours of student participation over the two-year period (junior/senior year) ideally with an alignment to the career-related studies and must be completed outside of the classroom. Community and service experiences are fully documented and outlined on student's managebac account and digital portfolio (website). Service learning is the practical application of knowledge and skills towards meeting an identified community need. Through service, students develop and apply personal and social skills in real-life situations involving decision-making, problem-solving, initiative, responsibility and accountability for their actions. A minimum of 50 hours is expected to be devoted to service learning
